Piston valves for process liquids and gases, used for many years with great success in steel and chemical plants for oxygen, air, oil, gas fuels and water. The characteristics hour-glass shape of the piston allows gentle opening and closing, thus preventing hammering. The seal components act on a sleeve, inside the valve, which can be replaced if worn, thereby considerably reducing maintenance costs. These valves are built in sizes from DN 15 to DN 400, and for pressures from PN 10 to PN 64, normally of bronze alloy G-CU SN 10 (G Sn BZ 10) or, if required, of other metals.
Piston valves are supplied with direct operation or remote-controlled handwheel; the actual fluid of the system can be used for the remote control. |
